Optional extras to tailor your policy

Combine your classic motorbike, specialist and modern vehicles onto a single insurance policy, saving time and money.

The fewer miles you travel in a year, the less you pay.

Is your classic taking a break or awaiting restoration? This cover applies whilst your motorcycle, and its accessories and spare parts, are kept in a locked garage or building. Cover also applies whilst your motorcycle is temporarily out of storage (i.e. whilst you are exhibiting it or having it repaired in the UK) and whilst in transit to or from the exhibition or repairer's premises. The ‘Agreed Value’ option is available on all laid up policies. Cover will not be in force if the motorcycle is ridden under its own power. An added benefit of our laid up cover is that you can increase the value of your motorcycle as and when required, without being charged a broker administration fee.

We will typically request 5 photographs if the motorcycle’s value is above £3,000 and the value will be validated by us against the current market. Generally there is no need to supply photographs if the value is below £3,000. If the motorcycle’s value is above £50,000 a club or independent specialist valuation will be required. Irrespective of value, the motorcycle needs to be kept garaged to quality for ‘Agreed Value’ cover.

Spread over 10 months by direct debit facilities.

Legal costs and expenses are covered up to £100,000. The policy covers you against the legal costs and expenses incurred in the pursuit of a civil claim against a defendant arising from a road traffic accident resulting in:

- damage to your motorcycle

- damage to your personal property

- your injury or death

Please refer to our policy booklet for full details.

The minimum excess is £50 but could be higher depending on underwriting criteria.

We will cover riders from 21 years of age and with no upper age limit (subject to underwriting criteria). The motorcycle needs to be registered prior to 1991 to be eligible for our classic insurance cover and the motorcycle needs to be kept in a locked garage or secure building agreed by underwriters at all times when not in use
